Arlington Heights Community Concert Band presents iy’s holiday concert, “Old World Hoiliday”.
Music is one of the best ways to get into the spirit of the holiday season. Music can awaken memories of past family celebrations and festive gatherings. This concert will hopefully bring back some of your best memories. The concert is full of old world charm and traditional Christmas carols. We will take you on a musical journey visiting Eastern Europe with stops in Vienna, Germany, Poland and Russia. We will visit the toy maker workshop and take a midnight sleigh ride.
“Old World Holiday” takes place on Sunday December 19, 2021 at 3:00 PM at the Forest View Educational Center, 2121 S. Goebbert Road, Arlington Heights. The Holiday concert is free, but places are limited. This concert is usually sold out.

The group is a non-profit corporation and all donations are tax deductible to the extent provided by law. Donations are used to offset the production costs of concerts and to purchase music.
The Arlington Heights Community Concert Band started with three musicians in November 1979 and has grown to over 65 dedicated volunteer musicians of all levels and ages. Each group member has their own story about what they love about being a member of the group. Pietro Pisello, the director and all the musicians offer the audience the most joyful musical experience possible.
Interested musicians are always welcome. Membership is open to anyone aged 14 and over with experience in playing a musical instrument. No audition is required and seating is at the discretion of the conductor. The band members have varying skill levels, ranging from professional musicians to former high school and college musicians. Weekly rehearsals take place Wednesdays from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the Forest View Education Center. The first rehearsals of each concert cycle give potential interested musicians time to “try us out”.
The group is proud to announce that the Arlington Heights Arts Commission has honored the Arlington Heights Community Concert Band with its Cultural Arts Award. The Cultural Arts Award celebrates the achievements of artists or groups of artists from Arlington Heights who have created a substantial body of work in their field.
The group is in partnership with Community Education District 214 and receives support from the Arlington Heights Park District and the Village of Arlington Heights.
The mission of the Arlington Heights Community Concert Band is to provide musical entertainment to the community, to offer community members the opportunity to join and be part of a musical organization, to foster expression and growth individual music and contribute to the music of the community. appreciation.
