Community Concert Band is looking for members | News, Sports, Jobs



The Minot Community Concert Band invites interested local musicians to perform with the group at its first rehearsal Monday from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. in the Jim Hill Middle School Band / Orchestra Hall. Rehearsals usually take place on the first and third Monday of the month.

The ensemble is free to join and consists of musicians from Minot and the surrounding communities.

“Our favorite part of this band is that they bring people from all walks of life together to make music.” said co-director Tim Baumann.

Interested members should have prior experience with their instrument and the ability to read music. The necessary instrumentation includes: flute, oboe, clarinet, bassoon, saxophone, trumpet, French horn, trombone, euphonium (baritone), tuba and percussion.

No audition is required, but organizers are asking interested community members to call 838-8472 or message the Minot Community Concert Band‘s Facebook page to make sure the music is ready to host. the number of musicians.
