The Jefferson Township Community Concert Band and Jazz Band will open the 2021 season on June 25. Talented local musicians will present a wonderful repertoire of popular favorites including classics, Broadway musicals, standard marches and patriotic salutes under the direction of Peter Tummillo, Jr.
The Jefferson Arts Committee’s free summer concerts are back for 2021. They will take place throughout the summer on Friday nights in the town complex’s beautiful Victorian Lookout (1033 Weldon Road, Oak Ridge). All concerts start at 7 p.m. and last two hours, usually with a short intermission.
Participants are kindly requested to bring a blanket or chair for their comfort. Non-alcoholic drinks, picnics and snacks are allowed on the grounds. All waste must be brought home upon departure. Social distancing is encouraged.
In the event of inclement weather or the threat of inclement weather, the concert will be relocated to the Jefferson Township High School Auditorium, 1010 Weldon Road (1 mile). If you are not vaccinated, the recommendation of the Board of Education is that you wear a face mask.
