The fifth ‘Music In The Marquee’ at Alford Manor House takes place during the Alford Music and Arts Festival.
From Friday July 8 to Sunday July 10, the festival will feature an entire weekend of live music, dance, theater, creative writing, arts and crafts taking place across the city.
Visitors will be invited to “try” many activities.
– as part of the very first The Festival begins with a school day on Friday 8 July. Local schools stage a concert that evening at Queen Elizabeth’s Grammar, Alford. There is also a performance of a one-act comedy Lockdown in Little Grimley staged by STARS Theater Group at Alford Corn Exchange.
On Saturday and Sunday July 9 and 10, we offer a wide range of shows, workshops and presentations in many places in the city.
Music in the Marquee takes place on Sunday, July 10, from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m.
This is a summer afternoon concert at Alford Manor House, with free admission, from noon to 3 p.m.
The headliner is Abi Moore. who is originally from Lincolnshire but now based in Nottingham.
Abi will perform brand new material from her upcoming new album, as well as material from her previous three albums.
Support comes from Lincoln-based Americana duo The Rye Sisters and Sleaford-based The Miracle Cure.
The weekend ends with a party in the park at Alford Memorial Park – a family picnic with music.
