live music & The Events team is part of BBC Radio Department. The team provides all music and event activities live on 1, 2, 6 Music, 1Xtra and Asian Network radios, working closely with colleagues from BBC Presentation, and BBC Music.

The Event Project Coordinator is responsible for managing the production and technical and editorial delivery of all small to mid-size events, and also supports the Project Managers in the delivery of our flagship events across stations popular music.

In this role, you will support the planning, production and delivery of live music and events for the BBC popular music networks. You will be responsible for coordinating the various requirements necessary for the effective delivery of the event – this includes planning, communications, budget, contracts, stage production, health and safety, involved in the event production process. live music events.

During event delivery, you will be responsible for assisting with on-site hands-on delivery at events and in studios. You will need to be able to collaborate and foster effective working relationships to achieve a common goal with key stakeholders, including internal and external stakeholders including talent, artists, contributors and external vendors.

You will visit the venues of proposed events and live music recordings and ensure the suitability and safety of the venue in consultation with relevant experts, and ensure that all content accurately reflects the diversity of our society in accordance with the diversity and representation guidelines.
