Třeboň will host the 19th International Classical Music Festival

From July 12 to 16, the 19th year of the summer festival Třeboňská nocturna (Třeboň Nocturnes) will fill the historic center of the Renaissance town of Třeboň in southern Bohemia with music.

The internationally recognized harpist Kateřina Englichová and oboe Vilém Veverka will open the festival with a program of compositions by Maurice Ravel, Alphonse Hasselmans, Ilja Hurník, Martin Hybler and Claude Debussy.

In addition, Třeboňská nocturna will present the winners of the Prague Spring International Music Competition, the Korean Arete String Quartetthe violinist trio Martina Bacovafrench horn Hana Sukova and pianist Karel Kosarekthe singer of songs Chantal Poulain accompanied by saxophonist Štěpán Markovič and pianist Martin Krč, special project Elaboration by vintage quartet and the singer Dasha.

The festival will close with a tribute to Ema Destinnová by the Hradec Králové Philharmonic with the Slovak opera singer Eva Hornyakova under the direction of the driver Miriam Nemcova.

Evenings of classical music, crossover and song will take place in several venues in Třeboň, from the stable of the castle, through the JK Tyl theater and the music bar Tunel, to the court of the municipal authority.

Tickets for Třeboňská nocturna are available for purchase on the festival website or through the GoOut.net sales network, or in person at the tourist information centers in the cities of Třeboň and České Budějovice, at the cultural services of the Třeboň Aurora spa resorts and Berta, or directly on the individual sites before the start of the concerts. Passes for the entire festival are also on sale for 1,350 CZK (the price does not include Chantal Poullain’s performance) and can be purchased at the Třeboň Tourist Information Center, Masarykovo Square 1. This year, the party Třeboňská nocturna received significant support from the South Bohemian Region, the City of Třeboň, the National Fund for Culture, Renomie, as, Pražská energetika, as well as other companies and individuals.
